Richard Sauer is the illustrator of A Hummingbird's Tale: Henry's Great Race and A Bumblebee for Tea
Richard Sauer began his career in 1982 as a graphic artist. In 1983 he became an Art Director and held that position until 1989. He began working as a freelance artist in the early 1990’s with Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine being the first major project for him where he Illustrated 14 issues. From there he has freelanced for companies such as the Orlando Magic NBA, US Airways, and many others.
He has written his own comic strips for newspapers in Arizona and Florida and he currently is a children’s book Illustrator and also writes and Illustrates his own children’s books and is working on creating more comic strips as well.
